Das Konzept, die Sprache mit einem Mikrofon direkt vom Körper aufzunehmen, gibt es schon seit ca. 1915 mit der Erfindung des Kehlkopf-Mikrofons. In der klassischen Version wird die Stimme direkt vom Kehlkopf abgenommen. Dabei wird ein Band um den Hals gelegt, welches die Mikrofone an den Kehlkopf drücken. Das kann zu einem unangenehmen und beklemmenden Gefühl führen. Das NeckMic-Mikrofon wurde entwickelt, um dem Benutzer ein angenehmes Tragegefühl zu vermitteln bei gleichzeitig hoher Sprachqualität. Daher liegt das Mikrofon seitlich vom Kehlkopf auf dem Hals. Die hochwertige Technik im Mikrofon sorgt dafür, dass die Sprache trotz der höheren Entfernung zum Kehlkopf optimal aufgenommen und übertragen wird.
