In der Nacht auf Montag mussten tausende Bewohner während eines schweren Unwetter flüchten. Nur Feldtelefonnetz und UKW-Funkgeräte funktionierten noch.

Das diesjährige Hackercamp war mit 4.500 Teilnehmern so gut besucht wie nie zuvor. Sengende Hitze, spannende Themen und ein paar einmalige Zwischenfälle machten es auch sehr besonders.

Im Ziegeleipark Mildenberg, der Location des Chaos Communication Camp, liegen noch viele Schmalspurschienen, eine Museumsbahn dreht hier ihre Kreise. Das Labor aus Bochum hat mal eben ein eigenes Schienenfahrzeug für die Gleise gebaut: Aus Holz und mit Elektroantrieb. Mati hat uns alles darüber erzählt.

Hacker auf Urlaub - Sie übernachten im Zelt, mit Schlafsack und Campingkocher. Der Urlaub, den die Teilnehmer des Chaos Computer Camps derzeit im Landkreis Oberhavel machen, fällt aus dem Rahmen. Johannes Fischer berichtet, was viereinhalb Tausend Hacker und Computerfreaks so treiben, wenn sie auf einer grünen Wiese zusammenkommen. Die kleine Diesellock tuckert durch den Mildenberger Ziegeleipark, vorbei an alten Brennöfen und unzähligen Zelten. Bis 1990 hat diese kleine Lok Lehm und Ziegel transportiert - jetzt zieht sie einen kleinen Party-Zug mit Cocktailbar und Swing-Musik. Auch ein Bällebad darf auf keiner großen Hacker-Veranstaltung fehlen, meint Party-Zug-Organisatorin Eliza. "Das wird hier gerne benutzt, vor allem weil die Nerds gerne Bälle nach Farben sortieren - das muss alles seine Ordnung haben. Wenn man zur richtigen Stunde kommt, dann sieht man hier das ganze Farbspektrum sortiert." Über 4.500 Teilnehmer haben für fünf Tage auf dem alten Ziegeleigelände ihre Zelte aufgeschlagen. In großen Pavillons sind Hackerwerkstätten und Organisationsteams untergebracht. In einem davon wird das campeigene Telefonnetz verwaltet. Jeder Camp-Teilnehmer kann hier sein mitgebrachtes Handy oder Schnurlostelefon registrieren lassen und dann kostenfrei auf dem Gelände telefonieren, meint Sascha Ludwig von der Telefonzentrale. "Beim letzten Camp 2011 hatten wir am Ende des Events 1.894 registrierte Telefone insgesamt. Jetzt sind wir schon am Tag Eins bei 2.700, die sich vorregistriert haben." Ludwig ist überzeugt: "Das ist nach oben hin noch offen, da geht noch was."
